We are seeking a versatile and adaptable Stores Assistant / Administrator to join our team in Great Yarmouth. This role combines administrative duties with hands-on tasks in a dynamic workshop environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using Sage software and handling various administrative and physical tasks to support both our office and workshop operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the office and workshop, handling tasks from pricing to dispatch.
  • Issue purchase orders and verify goods received against delivery notes.
  • Pick, Prepare, Pack and book parcels using FedEx and other carriers.
  • Perform stock checks and help maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support both the engine shop and machine shop.
  • Manage bookings for hotels and travel as required.
  • Handle customer queries and take messages.
  • Engage in physical activities such as moving stock and boxes between workshops.
  • Prepare and load orders onto pallets, ensuring timely dispatch to meet client needs.
  • Type quotes and emails, and manage correspondence through Sage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sage software is highly preferred; training can be provided.
  • Previous administrative experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to varying tasks daily.
  • Good physical fitness, as the role involves moving stock and walking between workshops.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Must be a driver, as local driving may be required occasionally.
