HR Business Partner

Our client, a growing business within a manufacturing environment based in Bishop Auckland, are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to join their team.

This is a varied and hands on role supporting the wider business through continued growth, working closely with managers to deliver a proactive and high quality HR service across the organisation, with travel to other sites required as part of the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the People Plan and ongoing development of HR processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employment law and employee relations matters
  • Coach and support managers across performance, attendance and capability issues
  • Support end to end recruitment, including sourcing candidates and assisting with interviews
  • Support probation reviews, appraisals and identification of training and development needs
  • Manage sickness absence processes, welfare meetings and occupational health referrals
  • Produce HR reporting on absence, turnover and timekeeping
  • Support the development and maintenance of HR policies to ensure legal compliance
  • Take ownership of HR projects and reporting requirements as needed

About you:

  • Previous experience within a generalist HR role is essential
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or above is required
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident supporting and influencing managers at all levels
  • Proactive approach with strong problem solving ability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently whilst also being a key team player
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
