Our client is seeking a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher to join their specialist provision supporting young people aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and additional behavioural challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who thrives in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment and is committed to helping vulnerable learners re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learner needs
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and challenging behaviours through therapeutic and adaptive teaching approaches
  • Promote both academic progress and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and specialist staff
  • Contribute to a positive, structured and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
  • QTS or QTLS
  • Experience working within SEND, SEMH or alternative provision settings
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience teaching English and/or PSHE
  • A compassionate, patient and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
