My client is a fast moving financial services organisation looking for a manager in the ESG reporting team based in Glasgow.

1. Leading the delivery of mandatory sustainability disclosures for legal entities, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB/IFRS sustainability standards, UK CFD/TCFD, UK SECR, and Pillar 3 sustainability reporting.
2. Coordinating second- and third-line assurance activities, including internal audit, external audit, and independent quality reviews, ensuring actions are tracked and closed.
3. Partnering with teams across Finance, Sustainability, Risk, Legal and Corporate Services to produce complete, consistent qualitative and quantitative disclosures.
4. Establishing and maintaining Finance-owned processes, policies, and a comprehensive risk and controls framework for sustainability reporting, including clear governance and RACI structures.
5. Owning the sustainability regulatory inventory and leading scoping assessments for current and emerging requirements, documenting judgments and conclusions.
6. Developing and maintaining regulatory interpretations, methodologies, and calculation approaches to ensure consistent and defensible disclosures.
7. Managing the sustainability data dictionary and key data definitions in line with enterprise data governance standards.
8. Supporting implementation workstreams, including training, senior-management briefings, and ongoing quality assurance reviews.

1. A strong financial controller background with experience delivering regulated disclosures in a controlled environment.
2. Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent) with excellent analytical and drafting skills and exceptional attention to detail.
3. Experience designing or operating risk and control frameworks, including documentation standards and governance processes.
4. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple functions.

1. Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB/IFRS, UK CFD/TCFD, UK SECR, and banking Pillar 3 sustainability disclosures.
2. Experience with data governance, data dictionaries, and control standards for both qualitative and quantitative reporting.
3. Experience coordinating assurance activities and managing remediation plans across first, second, and third lines of defence.
4. Experience leading implementation or change initiatives, including training and executive-level communications.
