Accounts Assistant

Salary - £28,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing organisation in Scotland. This is a newly created position within a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team, offering the chance to play a key role in supporting a busy and evolving finance function.

The Role

Working as part of a small but highly collaborative finance team, the Accounts Assistant will support a broad range of day-to-day finance activities, helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency and excellent internal service delivery.

The team are passionate about continuous improvement, automation and finding smarter ways of working. The successful candidate will be encouraged to contribute ideas, improve processes and support ongoing systems enhancements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
• Supporting accounts payable and wider finance administration
• Assisting with reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Working across finance systems and integrated platforms
• Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives
• Assisting colleagues and stakeholders with finance-related queries
• Contributing to a collaborative and service-focused team culture

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role and will enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

You will likely be:

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing high volumes of information accurately
• Naturally collaborative with a positive and approachable attitude
• Confident using finance systems and Excel
• Interested in improving processes and embracing technology
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
