Learning Support Assistant

Are you looking for a role where you can have a real impact every single day? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting, supporting young people who need guidance, structure, and strong role models.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work with pupils facing behavioural challenges, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and barriers to mainstream education.
• Act as a positive role model and mentor, helping students manage their behaviour and stay engaged.
• Support students 1:1 and in small groups, fostering an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Assist in delivering structured learning activities and encourage the development of key skills such as confidence, discipline, and resilience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong character with a calm, confident approach to handling challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build respect and trust among students.
• A genuine interest in the educational success and personal development of young people.
• Experience in sport, coaching, youth work, or similar fields is beneficial but not essential.
• Resilience and a proactive mindset, ready to take on daily challenges.
• English and Mathematics GCSE grade C or equivalent.
