Interim Commissioning Manager

Based in London & Inside IR35

Length: 6 months

Part Time – 3 days a week

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a busy and high-profile Sexual & Reproductive Health programme within a local authority Public Health team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with strong commissioning experience, specialist knowledge of sexual and reproductive health services, and excellent project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Commissioning Manager:

· Lead and support commissioning activity relating to sexual and reproductive health services

· Provide strong project and programme management across multiple workstreams

· Manage contracts for recently commissioned services

· Support procurement processes and service development activity

· Provide Public Health expertise, particularly within sexual health

· Support engagement work focused on young people’s sexual health services

· Contribute to wider London and multi-local authority sexual health initiatives

· Assist with development of the councils Sexual & Reproductive Health Strategy

Skills, Experience and Knowledge required of the Commissioning Manager:

· Proven experience in commissioning within local authorities

· Strong background in sexual and reproductive health services

· Public Health expertise and understanding of sexual health priorities

· Experience working across multi-agency or London-wide sexual health initiatives

· Excellent project and programme management skills

· Experience managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
