Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Basingstoke)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs at a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in Hampshire.
This is a full-time role (5 days per week) starting after May half term and continuing through to July 2026.

The Role
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, both in class and through targeted interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Helping to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
- Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
- Assisting in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

- Has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Works well as part of a team and uses initiative
