The role

We’re looking for a proactive Management Accountant to join a friendly finance team and support a key part of the business. This is a great opportunity to get close to the day-to-day operations, work with a variety of teams and really see the impact of your work.

You’ll be involved in everything from management reporting and forecasting to costing and process improvements. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, ask questions and help improve how things are done.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing monthly management accounts with clear, easy-to-understand commentary
  • Analysing costs and overheads, including headcount and overtime
  • Keeping weekly profit forecasts up to date and producing regular sales, stock and performance reports
  • Supporting month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Looking after stock and product costing, making sure figures are accurate and up to date
  • Managing customer rebates and ensuring liabilities are correctly recorded
  • Helping monitor working capital and maintain strong stock controls
  • Working with the wider business to improve finance processes and get more value from the ERP system
  • Supporting budgets, forecasts, statutory reporting and ad-hoc analysis

What we’re looking for

  • CIMA part-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a product-led or operational environment would be helpful
  • A solid understanding of management accounting and costing
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems (SAP experience is a bonus, not a must)
  • A good eye for detail and a naturally analytical mindset
  • Confident talking to people outside of finance
  • Organised, flexible and comfortable working to deadlines
  • A practical, team-focused approach
