Finance Manager - Legal Practice, £40-45,000 Harrogate

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to deliver accurate management accounts, maintain robust financial controls, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Prepare monthly management accounts, journals and reconciliations
• Manage payroll and ensure HMRC compliance (VAT, PAYE/NIC, Corporation Tax)
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain strong financial controls and implement process improvements
• Build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders

Person Specification

• AAT qualified or equivalent experience beneficial
• Strong financial and management accounting knowledge
• Excellent Excel and accounting system skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Experience within the legal sector
