Assistant Accountant 
Salary: £36,000 + Study Support
Location: Woking, Surrey (Hybrid)

An Assistant Accountant is required for a leading entertainment and education business based in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team within a growing international organisation.

Our client, a well-established and internationally recognised entertainment and education business, is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with existing finance experience looking to further develop within a dynamic, fast-paced and creative organisation offering study support and long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

Working closely with the wider finance function, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and revenue streams, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Posting bank transactions and performing account reconciliations
• Managing billing and credit control across multiple entities and revenue streams
• Handling inbound finance queries via phone and email from internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting accounting controls and internal reporting processes
• Assisting with annual audits and audit preparation
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounting duties as required
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring processes are followed efficiently

About You

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent organisation and time management abilities
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
• A proactive, curious and service-oriented approach
• Previous Accounts Receivable / credit control exposure beneficial
• Currently studying towards an accounting qualification advantageous
• Experience using Microsoft Business Central desirable
