Eames Consulting are partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed Clean-tech innovator to appoint a Chief Financial Officer.
As a key strategic partner to the CEO, you will drive financial rigour for a business where sustainability is the core mission. You will lead the organisation through a period of transformative scaling, ensuring the business is commercially robust while spearheading the preparation for a future liquidity event.
Strategic Partnership: Act as a critical advisor to the CEO and Board, aligning financial strategy with the sustainability roadmap to maximize both environmental impact and enterprise value.
Professionalisation: Lead the evolution of the finance function, embedding advanced digital reporting, ESG-linked metrics, and disciplined performance frameworks to support rapid scaling.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for PE investors and lenders, providing transparency on financial performance and the commercial viability of green-tech initiatives.
Capital & Cash Mastery: Manage a leveraged balance sheet with a focus on optimized cash flow, managing the CAPEX requirements of clean-tech infrastructure, and ensuring debt compliance.
Operational Excellence: Implement scalable financial controls and KPIs that provide clarity on margins and project returns as the business expands its footprint.
Exit Readiness: Oversee the preparation for a successful exit, ensuring the "sustainability equity story" is supported by high-quality data and rigorous financial due diligence.
Skills:
Qualified: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Sector Expertise: Experience in Clean-tech, Renewable Energy, Circular Economy, or a high-growth, sustainability-led infrastructure business.
PE Pedigree: Proven experience as a CFO within a Private Equity-backed environment is essential.
Transaction Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing exits, refinancing, or complex M&A cycles within a growth environment.
Agility: A hands-on leader who can operate at a strategic level while remaining close to the operational details of a scaling technology business.
Package:
Base Salary: £150,000 - £175,000 (DOE)
Equity: Significant Management Incentive Plan (MIP) / Carry
