About the Role

Hue Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time, permanent position involving multi-drop deliveries of construction materials across the Hertfordshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with licensing and company regulations
• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of construction materials
• Complete multi-drop deliveries according to scheduled routes across the local area
• Maintain accurate records of journey times, mileage, and working hours
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Operate tachograph equipment in accordance with legal requirements
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

Skills & Requirements

• HGV Category C licence (essential)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• HIAB / ALLMI certification (preferred)
• Good understanding of transport regulations and safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude
• Strong customer service skills

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 06:45am – 16:15pm (1-hour break)
• Overtime during the week paid at time and a quarter
• Saturday overtime paid at time and a half
• Sociable hours with no overnight stays or late evenings
