Role Overview

This role sits within the Finance Operations function and supports core accounting processes, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position offers exposure to a broad range of finance activities and is well suited to someone looking to develop a career in accounting or finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and analyse transactions across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Manage bank transactions and resolve related issues
  • Perform weekly and period-end reconciliations for key ledger and bank accounts
  • Maintain and support a Time & Materials (timesheet) system
  • Monitor data integrity within financial systems and assist in developing reporting processes
  • Reconcile corporate card expenses using an expense management system
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting activities
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes
  • Produce reports from various financial systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting
  • Support ad-hoc finance projects and tasks
  • Provide cover for team members as required
Skills & Experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Comfortable working with financial data and systems

  • Willingness to learn and develop within a finance function
Qualifications & Knowledge
  • AAT (or equivalent finance qualification) desirable
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Interest in developing knowledge in management accounting
