Join our client's team as an Engineering Maintenance Planner and play a pivotal role in enhancing equipment performance and reliability through expertly designed maintenance strategies. This position is ideal for someone passionate about ensuring operational efficiency and equipment longevity in a manufacturing environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and continuously improve planned and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Generate, prioritise, and oversee maintenance tasks using a centralised maintenance management system.
  • Liaise with engineering personnel to track task progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Coordinate the availability of tools, spare parts, and external resources required to complete maintenance work.
  • Review historical maintenance data and equipment performance metrics to identify trends and support reliability improvements.
  • Work closely with operational teams to plan maintenance activities and minimise disruption to production schedules.
  • Support inventory management by working with relevant departments to maintain appropriate stock levels of critical spares.
  • Assist with internal audits and ensure maintenance records and systems remain accurate and up to date.
  • Promote adherence to health & safety standards and ensure all maintenance activities align with company procedures and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree, NVQ Level 4, ONC/HNC, BTEC, or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Fiix).
  • Strong understanding of maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
  • Appreciation of mechanical and electrical systems, industrial equipment, and facility operations.
