Finance Manager – Legal Sector
Harrogate centre | £45,000

I’m working with a well-established legal firm in Harrogate looking to appoint a Qualified Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the leadership team.

This role is suited to someone already operating at this level within the legal sector (or professional services) who wants a position with real ownership, visibility and the opportunity to influence decision making.

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, maintaining strong financial controls and providing meaningful insight to support the wider business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Production of monthly management accounts including journals and reconciliations
• Overseeing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Leading on year-end and liaising with external auditors
• Building strong working relationships with senior stakeholders

What they’re looking for:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager role within the legal sector or similar (professional services) 
• Strong management accounting background
• Confident Excel and systems user
• Detail-focused with the ability to add commercial value
• Strong communicator who can challenge and support stakeholders
