Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children with additional needs?

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology graduate SEND Teaching Assistants to work as SEND Teaching Assistants within supportive mainstream primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, or professionals looking to build experience in education and child development.

The role involves supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting children with academic, social, and emotional development
  • Helping pupils to regulate emotions and engage positively in learning
  • Working closely with teachers, SENDCos, and external professionals
  • Supporting children with communication and sensory needs
  • Building positive relationships and promoting confidence and independence

We Are Looking For:

  • A graduate in Psychology or a related field
  • Individuals who are patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
