Rate: £28.00 per hour (umbrella)

We are currently seeking two experienced Assessment Officers (Scale 6) to join a busy financial assessments team on a full-time, 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates who are confident managing social care financial assessments and who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced local authority environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing financial assessments for care packages in line with current legislation and guidance
• Managing and reviewing cases accurately within set timescales
• Liaising with service users, representatives, and internal teams to resolve cases effectively
• Ensuring assessments are processed to a high standard, with attention to detail and compliance

Essential Experience

• Proven experience undertaking financial assessments for adult social care
• Strong working knowledge of Mosaic (essential)
• Experience using Abacus (highly desirable)
• Confident using multiple IT systems alongside Microsoft Office
• A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and manage workload
