As Private Client Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a varied and high-quality portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, trustees, and landed estates. You will manage complex tax affairs across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and non-domicile matters, while also playing a key role in mentoring junior members of the team. This is a role that offers real influence, client-facing responsibility, and a genuine pathway to senior leadership within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of private clients, delivering bespoke tax advisory and compliance services across a wide range of personal tax matters
  • Provide technical guidance on areas including IHT planning, CGT, trust taxation, and residence and domicile issues, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact for complex tax queries
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues within the tax department, contributing to the wider development of the team
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, working closely with partners to grow the private client offering
Requirements
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial experience in private client tax within a UK accountancy practice setting
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across the full range of personal tax matters, with the ability to handle complex advisory work
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with high-net-worth clients and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ambition to progress toward director or partner level
