The Lead Discrimination Lawyer will handle own caseload of mixed equality, harassment and & complex discrimination cases within our Legacy department. You will be expected to manage and progress claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired outcomes at appropriate levels of profitability. 

• Overall conduct of allocated matters fixing strategy and liaising directly with clients.
• Responsibility for Assistants & their development 
• Ensure adherence with court timetables by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate
• Ensuring experts are instructed in sufficient time by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate
• Attending conferences with Counsel and Clients
• Dealing with routine correspondence
• Compliance with MI
• To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations

• Technically proficient in dealing with a caseload of Equality Act cases including denial of access to services, acts of discrimination and harassment under the Equality Act. 
• Technically proficient and confident in managing claims involving litigants in person.
• Experience of dealing with the Claims Portal as well as Fast, Intermediate and Multi Track litigation
• Effective negotiator
• Ability to use own initiative
• Good listening and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organise, delegate & prioritise
• Good level of IT skills
