Compliance Accountant, £50-60k Berkshire, Bracknell, Slough, Reading

Our client, a leading global SaaS and cloud technology business, is seeking a Compliance Accountant to support global tax and statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a key role within the Finance team, ensuring accurate and timely compliance across the UK, US, EU, and APAC regions.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will:

• Own UK VAT processes including submission and HMRC liaison
• Coordinate global tax and statutory filings with external advisers
• Maintain compliance calendars and track deadlines
• Oversee US sales tax processes (Avalara)
• Support audits, regulatory requests, and tax inspections
• Reconcile tax balance sheet accounts and prepare compliance reports
• Identify risks and improve compliance processes

Requirements

• AAT qualified or equivalent experience
• ACA / ACCA / CTA (or studying) desirable
• Degree Educated, (Pref 2:1 or above)
• 3+ years’ experience in tax, finance, or compliance
• Strong UK VAT knowledge
• Experience working with external advisers / auditors
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experience in multi-entity or international environments desirable
