Reporting to the Recoveries Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing early arrears cases in line with established recoveries policies
- Handling a portfolio of customers in arrears, ensuring timely contact and resolution
- Investigating reasons for non-payment and securing commitments to clear arrears
- Applying vulnerable customer and forbearance policies to ensure fair outcomes
- Using early warning indicators to inform decisions and escalate cases as needed
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date notes and preparing management information
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve issues and support asset management
- Preparing documentation for formal arrangements and asset substitutions
- Contributing to monthly review meetings and supporting ad-hoc payment requests
- Delivering consistently high-quality customer service and logging complaints appropriately
- Maintaining regular interaction with sales, brokers, and other departments
What you will need:
- At least 1 year’s experience in Collections, Arrears Management, Credit Control, or Recoveries
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Organised, thorough, and motivated with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise, manage time, and meet deadlines independently or as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism and a positive, adaptable attitude
- Strong telephone communication techniques and systems awareness
