The Finance Assistant will support the Accounting & Finance department in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of financial processes and procedures.

Client Details

Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects the finance team is looking for additional support.

Description

• Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records and ledgers.
• Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support budget tracking and forecasting processes.
• Handle queries from internal teams and external vendors regarding financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc administrative tasks.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

• A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
