Delegated Authorities Manager (6-Month FTC) London (Hybrid) | Fixed Term Contract
A leading Lloyd's Syndicate is seeking an experienced Delegated Authorities Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone who can bring immediate expertise during a particularly busy phase, with a strong focus on due diligence and oversight.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the effective oversight, monitoring, and control of the Syndicate's delegated underwriting portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll help maintain a robust governance framework across Coverholders, Binding Authorities, and DCAs.
This position is particularly suited to candidates with strong experience in due diligence processes, delegated authority governance, and Lloyd's market requirements.
Key Responsibilities Oversee approval processes for new delegated arrangements in line with regulatory and internal requirements Lead the annual due diligence process and ongoing monitoring of delegated arrangements Allocate and oversee workloads across DA Analysts, ensuring consistency and quality Manage the audit process, including planning and coordination across stakeholders Conduct quality assurance reviews of team output to ensure high standards Oversee the EPI process in line with Syndicate procedures Work closely with Operations on bordereaux management, data quality, and timeliness Provide expert guidance and support across the business on delegated authority matters About You Proven experience within Delegated Authorities in the London Market Strong expertise in due diligence and governance frameworks Good working knowledge of Lloyd's DA systems and requirements Confident managing stakeholders and building relationships across the business Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team Previous experience overseeing or mentoring junior team members is advantageous The Opportunity Join a highly regarded Lloyd's platform during a key period of activity Take ownership of a critical function within the business Work in a collaborative, high-performing environment Competitive day rate / salary (depending on experience) Hybrid working model
