Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger to join a busy and fast-paced finance team on a part-time basis.

This role offers flexible working hours, with days and start/finish times open to discussion, alongside a requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (Newark).

You will be responsible for raising invoices, managing credit control, and supporting month-end processes, while working closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Managing invoice queries and liaising with clients
  • Chasing outstanding payments and issuing statements
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Assisting with reporting and ad-hoc finance tasks
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience with accounting systems (Oracle desirable)
