Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking to step into a role that combines hands-on client work with team leadership?

I’m currently supporting a well-established and growing accounting firm in their search for a Financial Controller to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted financial partner
• Deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
• Provide strategic input to clients, supporting business growth and decision-making
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals
• Review and improve internal processes to drive efficiency and quality
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders

About You

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent preferred)
• Experience working with multiple clients or within a practice environment is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercially minded with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
