We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting pupils in specialist educational settings across Exeter. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the educational experience and wellbeing of pupils with complex needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with complex needs, ensuring their individual requirements are met.
  • Assist with behaviour support and emotional wellbeing to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher, contributing to educational outcomes.
  • Promote independence and positive engagement in all school activities.
  • Drive pupils safely between school sites or to alternative provisions as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in SEND, care, or education sectors.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Flexible and calm approach to managing challenging situations.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of pupils.
