Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Team Manager to join their Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Manage and prioritise activities to meet service requirements, contributing to continuous improvement and effective use of resources.
  • Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary and multi-organisational teams, networks and systems to deliver integrated services.
  • Maintain and develop professional knowledge and practice across organisational and professional boundaries.
  • Manage, record, analyse and share information, reports and data to support effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Manage financial resources and budgets responsibly to ensure value for money and service sustainability.
  • Recruit, manage, develop and performance-manage staff, including delegation, supervision, and addressing poor performance in line with HR procedures.
  • Lead, chair and facilitate meetings and decision-making forums, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and quality assurance requirements, including audits and effective use of IT systems.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
