Homelessness Support Worker

We are looking for compassionate, motivated, and resilient Support Workers to join a supported housing team. You will work with vulnerable adults including individuals experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, young people and victims of domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs
  • Support residents with independent living skills, budgeting, appointments, and daily routines
  • Build positive professional relationships and promote engagement with support services
  • Carry out support plans, risk assessments, and wellbeing checks
  • Encourage residents to achieve personal goals and maintain tenancy agreements
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies including mental health services, probation, social services, and substance misuse teams
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times
About You
  • Experience working in supported accommodation services, providing support to vulnerable adults or young people is essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT and report writing skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Holds an enhanced DBS and a UK driving licence with access to a car.
