Achieve Professionals are looking for a Head of Private Client to join the nation's leading law firm.


Job Description:

This position offers an incredible opportunity to join a leading, well reputable Legal 500 Law Firm.


You will be leading the Private Client Department of well capable, experienced solicitors, paralegals and associates.


The Role:

  • Lead and manage the Private Client team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous development.
  • Manage a varied caseload of wills, Court of Protection and probate and estate work
  • Provide expert legal advice on wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, and tax matters.
  • Provide regular supervision, guidance, and training to ensure technical excellence and career progression across the team.
  • Develop and implement departmental strategy aligned with the firm’s overall goals.
  • To take an active and enthusiastic role in business development and marketing for the department
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of what is required for the department and the firm to achieve their financial targets and success
  • Manage and set department budgets and financial/billing targets liaising with the accounts team


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years working with a Private Client department, with some experience of direct leadership within those teams
  • Experience of full range of private client work and a detailed knowledge of wills, Court of Protection, probate, estates and trust law
  • Strong technical knowledge of estate planning, trusts, tax, and probate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a supportive and approachable leadership style.
  • A honest personality with the mindset to achieve continued success for the firm
