A leading Devon law firm is expanding its specialist Court of Protection and Private Client team and is now recruiting a Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive for its Plymouth office. This is a newly prioritised hire offering hybrid working, strong support, and clear progression.

The Role – Court of Protection / Mental Capacity Law
You will join a well-established specialist team handling a varied and rewarding caseload, including:

• Court of Protection matters under the Mental Capacity Act
• Supporting vulnerable adults, children, and elderly clients
• Managing financial affairs, deputyships, and trustee matters
• Liaising with families, care providers, and professionals
• Visiting clients in care settings and at home where required
• Working closely with financial advisers on long-term planning

Candidate Profile

• Solicitor or Legal Executive (including NQ considered)
• Court of Protection experience beneficial but not essential
• Background in private client, family law, or litigation welcomed
• Strong interest in Mental Capacity / vulnerable client work
• Excellent communication and client care skills
