We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in Colnbrook for a Stores/ Yard person. This is a hands-on role within a busy operations team, where accuracy, teamwork and pace are key. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day movement of goods, ensuring customers receive the correct products, on time, every time. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound deliveries from a range of vehicles, from vans up to articulated lorries
• Checking goods against delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies or defects
• Loading outbound delivery vehicles with customer orders
• Working as part of a team to prepare goods for the next day, maximising packing efficiency
• Putting stock away and maintaining tidy, organised indoor and outdoor storage areas
• Working closely with Transport and Stores management to ensure daily targets are met

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong focus on health and safety at all times
• Willingness to work in a predominantly outdoor environment
• Excellent team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Good problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Passion for customer satisfaction and right-first-time delivery
• Calm and diplomatic when handling challenging situations
• Full UK driving licence

Job Details

• Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed-term contract
• Salary: £24,000 - £35,000 per year
