About the Role

We are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a large local authority based in Maidenhead. This is a part-time, fully remote opportunity offering flexibility while playing a vital role in supporting the Council’s financial operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring utility-related financial processes run smoothly, helping to ensure bills are paid on time and contributing to reducing utility-related debt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of the Council’s utility bill payments
  • Create and issue recharge invoices efficiently and accurately
  • Process credit notes from utility suppliers in line with internal procedures
  • Liaise with utility suppliers to validate invoice charges
  • Review utility invoices and raise and resolve discrepancies
  • Support the onboarding of new sites into the Council’s utility framework
  • Coordinate with internal teams to collect meter readings and submit to suppliers

About You

  • Previous experience in a finance, billing, or administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
  • Good organisational and communication skills
