I'm recruiting for a Client Account Manager to join a well-structured, collaborative finance team operating in a fully digital, cloud-based environment. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing a varied client portfolio while supporting junior team members and working closely with senior management.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of clients including limited companies and sole traders
• Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for clients
• Work within a pod structure (typically 4-5 people), reporting into a senior manager
• Review and oversee bookkeeping work completed by junior team members
• Prepare VAT returns, statutory accounts and tax returns
• Assist with and prepare management accounts and financial reporting
• Ensure all client deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
• Liaise with internal team members to manage workflow and resolve queries
• Support, mentor and develop junior members of the team
• Contribute to tax planning and advisory work where appropriate

Systems & Working Environment

• Xero (strong, day-to-day use expected)
• Dext
• Accounts preparation software
• TaxCalc
• Fully cloud-based, paperless environment

What I'm Looking For

• Circa 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE
• Confident, hands-on user of Xero (not just exposure)
• Strong experience working with cloud-based accounting tools
• Excellent written and verbal English, essential for client communication
• Comfortable reviewing work, providing guidance and supporting junior staff
• Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple client deadlines
