Senior Partnerships Executive

My client is a modern mutual society with a long-standing heritage. They are currently looking to appoint a Senior Partnerships Executive within their Business Innovations function to join a highly collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Purpose of the Role

  • Own and develop existing strategic partnerships within the Business Innovations team
  • Coordinate the onboarding and launch of key distribution partners aligned to business objectives
  • Act as the key point of contact internally and externally for assigned partners
  • Deliver all responsibilities in line with company culture, values, and Consumer Duty principles

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and maximise the performance of strategic partnerships in line with business objectives
  • Evaluate and qualify new distribution partners aligned to strategic goals
  • Lead onboarding projects for new partners, coordinating across internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Maintain strong governance across partnerships, including meeting documentation and action tracking
  • Keep internal procedures accurate and up to date, ensuring compliance with agreed processes
  • Monitor partner performance and support reporting activity with the Partnerships Manager
  • Work closely with reinsurers and co-manufacturing partners to support development of new insurance propositions
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned partnerships and products, including delivering internal training
  • Develop strong understanding of distribution models and enabling technologies
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the UK protection insurance market
  • Attend external meetings and industry events, including occasional overnight travel
  • Support the Head of Business Innovations and Senior Partnerships Manager with strategic development
  • Carry out additional duties as required

About You

Essential:

  • Experience in strategic account management, client management, business development, or a partner-facing role
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Experience within the insurance sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience delivering strategies and plans successfully
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working independently and resolving technical queries
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident presenter able to tailor communication to different audiences and explain technical concepts clearly
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical industry knowledge

Desirable:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in product or marketing roles
  • Data and analytical capability
