Trainee Financial Planner

We are working with a highly regarded, independent financial planning firm who are looking to appoint an Associate Financial Planner to join their growing Wealth Planning team.

The Role

This position offers a blend of paraplanning and associate advisory responsibilities, working closely with experienced Chartered Financial Planners to deliver holistic financial planning advice to a high-quality HNW client base.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing suitability reports and conducting detailed technical research
  • Producing cashflow modelling and complex financial planning analysis
  • Supporting client reviews and ongoing service delivery
  • Assisting with client onboarding and drafting recommendations
  • Identifying planning opportunities and supporting the delivery of advice

You will gain increasing exposure to client relationships and more complex planning work over time.

About You

  • Around 2+ years’ experience in a paraplanning role
  • Working towards (or holding) the Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS)
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
  • Excellent attention to detail and report writing skills
  • Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress into an advisory role


Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £42,000 – £47,500 (flexible depending on experience)
  • Bonus typically in the region of £4,000 – £6,000
  • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 from home, with flexibility)
