About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a high-precision manufacturing environment producing complex, high-value engineered components.

We are seeking an experienced Production Group Leader to take ownership of a fabrication-focused production cell, driving performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP).

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a structured, performance-driven engineering environment and is confident leading teams on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead daily operations within a defined fabrication cell
* Ensure disciplined execution of SQCDP daily management processes
* Drive delivery of production plans and operational targets
* Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture (HSE, 5S)
* Take ownership of operational decision-making within your area
* Lead problem-solving activities using a hands-on "Go to Gemba" approach
* Ensure compliance with SOPs, manufacturing standards, and traceability requirements
* Maintain quality standards including calibrated inspection checks
* Support cost control through efficient use of tooling, equipment, and Capex input
* Coach, develop, and manage performance of team members and Team Leaders
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and business needs
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements

About You

* 10+ years' experience in fabrication, metal forming, and MIG/TIG or seam welding
* Proven background in manufacturing or operations leadership
* Strong track record of delivering SQCDP or similar performance metrics
* Confident leader with experience coaching and developing teams
* Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision-making
* Effective communicator with the ability to influence across departments
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Background in precision engineering or aerospace highly desirable
* Experience working with high-value or exotic materials advantageous
