Assistant Management Accountant
Harrogate (Hybrid – 1 day in the office, 4 from home)
Up to £36,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, 35 hours per week

Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established organisation to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing finance team in a role that offers strong exposure to management accounts and wider financial processes, alongside excellent flexibility.

The role:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in supporting the production of accurate financial information and ensuring smooth month-end processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
• Analysing key cost movements and identifying variances
• Completing month-end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and bad debt provisions
• Performing daily bank reconciliations and regular balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting Purchase Ledger with supplier payments, expenses, and credit cards
• Assisting with aged creditors management
• Supporting VAT returns, budgeting processes, and audit requirements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations

About you:

• Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (fully qualified candidates also considered)
• Previous exposure to management accounts
• Strong Excel skills; experience with finance systems or CRM tools is advantageous
• Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams
• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
