NEW OPPORTUNITY – Energy Officer

We’re working with North Northamptonshire Council on an exciting interim opportunity within the Council’s Energy team. This is a great role for someone looking to support a fast-moving energy and sustainability function within a public sector environment.

You’ll work closely with the Energy Manager to support day-to-day operational energy activities, helping to ensure accurate data, effective reporting, and smooth delivery of energy and carbon reduction initiatives.

Role Details

Contract: 3 months initially

Rate: Negotiable (Inside IR35, via umbrella)

Location: North Northamptonshire (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)

Start: ASAP

Role Summary

Support the Energy Manager with operational energy tasks including utilities billing, meter readings, energy data management, carbon reporting, and assisting with renewable energy and efficiency projects.

Key Requirements

• Experience working with energy data, utilities, or energy management
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to support projects and work collaboratively with stakeholders
• Familiarity with sustainability, carbon reduction, or energy reporting
