Capital & Trust is one of the UK's leading M&A brokers, specialising in the sale and acquisition of businesses across wealth management, insurance, accountancy, legal, and other professional services sectors. We are a close-knit, expert team with a strong reputation and a growing national profile. We are now looking for a talented marketing professional to help us build our marketing infrastructure and tell our story to the market.
The role:
This is a broad, hands-on role with real scope to make your mark. You will be joining the team at an exciting stage — with the foundations already in place, your job is to build on them: creating a proper marketing infrastructure, developing SEO templates and content frameworks, and producing the collateral that helps us stand out in every sector we operate in. Critically, this is not a remote position.
We want someone who will sit with the team, absorb how we work, and develop a genuine understanding of our markets — wealth management, accountancy, insurance, TIC, and legal. The more you understand what we do and who we serve, the better the marketing you will produce.
Three days a week, you will own the marketing output of the business end-to-end — from a one-pager for a new sector, to a blog post that builds our search presence, to a polished brochure that goes in front of a prospective client.
What you will be doing:
- Build and maintain our marketing infrastructure — creating reusable SEO templates, content frameworks, and document standards that the whole team can work from
- Sit in with brokers and sector specialists across wealth management, accountancy, insurance, TIC, and legal — absorbing the language, the market dynamics, and the client needs that will inform everything you produce
- Write and publish regular blog posts and articles that demonstrate Capital & Trust's expertise and improve our organic search rankings
- Lead on website SEO: conduct keyword research, optimise existing pages, identify content gaps, and track performance through Google Analytics and Search Console
- Create one-pagers, sector brochures, pitch documents, and other client-facing marketing materials to a consistently high standard
- Edit and update website content, ensuring accuracy, freshness, and alignment with our current sector focus
- Manage our LinkedIn presence and help grow brand awareness across the professional services community
- Support the team with ad hoc marketing and communications requests as we grow into new sectors
- Help build Capital & Trust's profile and brand recognition as the go-to M&A broker across all sectors we serve
What we are looking for:
- 3–7 years of marketing experience, ideally in financial or professional services
- Strong copywriting ability — blogs, articles, one-pagers, brochures, and client-facing documents
- Solid SEO knowledge: keyword research, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and performance tracking – Comfortable building and maintaining SEO templates and content frameworks from scratch
- Experience editing and updating websites via a CMS
- Organised and self-directed — able to manage multiple projects without close supervision
- Genuine curiosity about financial services and a willingness to learn new sectors quickly
