Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join a Midlands-based Local Authority on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to support a busy legal team, handling a varied caseload across the full spectrum of employment law matters within a local government setting.

Role Details:

• Part-time position
• Initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension
• Predominantly remote working
• Occasional attendance required for Employment Tribunals

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Managing a broad and complex caseload of employment law matters within a local authority setting
• Providing legal advice on a range of employment issues, including complex and sensitive matters
• Conducting advocacy at Employment Tribunals where required
• Supporting HR teams with advice on policies, procedures and disputes
• Extensive prior experience in local government employment law
• Ability to work autonomously and handle a full caseload confidently
• Strong tribunal/advocacy experience is highly desirable
• Willingness to attend hearings in person when required
