Moulding Assistant - machine operations

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience) + overtime
Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager

About the Role

We're excited to offer an opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Macclesfield.

We design and produce a wide range of innovative products for UK wide customers, and we're now looking for a Moulding Assistant to strengthen our growing production team.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing quality work. You'll be part of a supportive team where your skills are valued and there are real opportunities to develop and grow.

Key Responsibilities

As a Moulding Assistant, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Setting up and operating moulding machines
• Running machines efficiently to meet production targets
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Accurately recording production timings
• Managing and monitoring stock levels
• Supporting the Moulding Team Leader with daily tasks
• Assisting in other production areas when required

Machines you'll work with include:

• Sandretto 485
• Sandretto 200
• Boy 55 or Boy 80

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous moulding experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience setting up and running machinery
• Ability to read and follow job sheets and care sheets
• A proactive, independent approach to work
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and production targets
• Flexibility to support different departments as needed
