We’re working with a well-established SEN school in South Shields supporting pupils aged 3–16 with complex learning needs, autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities.

They’re looking for a confident Level 3 Teaching Assistant who can bring structure, support, and a bit of initiative to the classroom.

The role:

You’ll be a key part of the classroom team, supporting both pupils and teaching staff to keep learning moving forward.

• Delivering targeted support in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Supporting pupils with more complex or additional needs
• Helping to adapt lesson content to suit different learning styles
• Using consistent approaches to support behaviour and engagement
• Working across primary or secondary classes, depending on need

What you’ll bring:

• Level 3 TA qualification
• Solid SEN experience, ideally across different needs
• Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team
• A practical, solution-focused mindset
