Geoenvironmental Engineer

Location: Nottingham
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000

An established environmental and ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative consultancy delivering a wide range of brownfield redevelopment, infrastructure and industrial projects across the Midlands and wider UK.

You will join a supportive and technically strong team, gaining exposure to both geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects while working closely with experienced consultants and project managers.

The Role

• Undertaking and supervising ground investigations
• Soil and groundwater sampling and environmental monitoring
• Preparing Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Interpretative Reports
• Assisting with contaminated land risk assessments
• Supporting remediation strategy and validation reporting
• Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies
• Coordinating laboratory testing and subcontractors
• Supporting project delivery from tender through to completion

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology or related discipline
• Previous geoenvironmental or ground investigation consultancy experience
• Understanding of contaminated land legislation and guidance
• Experience with factual and interpretative reporting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
