About the Role

We are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join a well-established banking organisation. This is a hands-on, office-based role suited to a technically strong accountant with proven banking experience and a deep understanding of financial instruments, balance sheet management, and bank performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan and deposit interest calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Account for and analyse swaps and other derivative instruments, including valuation and reporting
• Monitor and report on key bank performance metrics for management and regulatory purposes
• Perform bond valuations, including yield, amortisation, and fair value analysis
• Support liquidity, funding, and balance sheet management, working closely with Treasury
• Contribute to month-end close, statutory accounts, and audit processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant banking regulations
• Provide clear financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) – essential
• Demonstrable banking experience within financial accounting, product control, or treasury finance
• Strong technical knowledge of financial instruments, derivatives, and fixed income products
• Experience with liquidity and balance sheet-related reporting
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Ability and willingness to work 5 days per week on-site
