Hours: 37.5 per week | Contract: Full Time

It delivers aircraft sales, bespoke completions, MRO, training, engineering, and support services to both civil and military customers across the UK. The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially astute and detail-driven Commercial Manager to join a dynamic Commercial Business team. You will support a broad range of activities including aircraft sales and customisation, retrofit programmes, training, MRO, and support & services contracts.
The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Finance teams, as well as supporting bid and offer activity through contractual guidance, risk management and T&Cs negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and contractual management of UK Government and defence contracts, ensuring compliance with Procurement Act 2023, DSPCR and SSRO regulations
- Prepare and manage SSRO reporting, including CPS, CRP and FPA submissions
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including milestones, costs, profit rates and payment schedules
- Act as the primary commercial interface for government and defence stakeholders
- Lead contract negotiations, amendments and commercial reporting
- Represent and protect commercial interests in internal and external forums
- Support continuous improvement of contract management and SSRO compliance processes
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
- Degree in Business, Law or related discipline
- Commercial or contract management experience within defence, aerospace or another regulated industry
- Hands-on experience managing UK Government or defence contracts under SSRO
- Strong negotiation, financial analysis and business case development skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
- Proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
- Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK and internationally
Desirable:
- Knowledge of aviation, aerospace or military sectors
- Experience managing contracts valued £5m+
- Working knowledge of contract law and UK procurement processes
- Ability to automate reporting using VBA or AppScript
