Doves Care Agency is an established domiciliary care provider delivering around 600 hours of care per week across Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas. We’ve built a service that values consistency, compassion and strong relationships with the people we support.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Care Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service and help us maintain the standards we’re proud of.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, supporting their team, and ensuring care is delivered to a high standard.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of a high-quality domiciliary care service, including:
- Overseeing day-to-day care delivery and ensuring visits run smoothly
- Managing rotas and coordinating care hours effectively
- Supporting, supervising and developing care staff
- Carrying out spot checks, supervisions and care plan reviews
- Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and internal processes
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and staff retention
- Handling safeguarding concerns and escalating where required
- Building positive relationships with clients, families and professionals
You’ll be visible within the service, organised in your approach, and confident in supporting both staff and clients.
About You
- Experience within a domiciliary care setting
- Previous experience in a supervisory or coordination role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards
- Experience managing rotas, care hours and staff performance
- Level 3 or Level 4 in Health & Social Care
- Full driving licence with access to car
Ideally, you will also be:
- Working towards a Level 5 Diploma (or open to starting it)
- Looking to progress into a Registered Manager role over time
