Treasury Analyst

Our client is looking for a Treasury Analyst to join their team in Birmingham. This role is hybrid and paying between £ per annum.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and produce comprehensive Treasury Dashboards to support the organisation's management of foreign exchange and banking risks, ensuring data-driven decision-making across all divisions.
  • Take ownership of timely, accurate cash flow reporting and currency mapping for the treasury function, providing clear analysis that underpins strategic objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within treasury reporting, championing efficiency projects that enhance service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to influence business decisions, strategy formulation, and financial outcomes through expert advice and analysis.
  • Lead the development and production of detailed Treasury Reporting Packs, ensuring information is accessible for both operational teams and senior leadership.
  • Manage controls and processes around report preparation with an eye towards ongoing development and enhancement of reporting standards.
  • Support day-to-day treasury operations including oversight of payment processing (internal and third party), FX confirmation matching, and accurate position determination.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments relevant to financial reporting requirements within the ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to management as required, responding flexibly to emerging needs across the finance division.
  • Liaise regularly with auditors during year-end or interim audits, preparing presentations for board committees and supporting statutory account preparations.


What you bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in treasury reporting within a multi-currency or international context is preferred; familiarity with foreign exchange risk mitigation adds significant value.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively under pressure while handling sensitive information confidentially; adept at delivering credible service even when deadlines are tight.
  • Experience with payment processing in an accounting environment - ideally within an international setting - will be advantageous for this role.
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel-based modelling are essential; experience with Microsoft Power BI or ERP systems would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to manipulate large datasets accurately; strong analytical thinking is crucial for success in this position.
  • Outstanding time management abilities enable you to work calmly under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills allow you to explain complex issues clearly to both finance specialists and non-specialists alike; interpersonal skills foster productive teamwork across departments.
