Your new role
As a Supply SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to pupils with additional needs on a short-term, long-term, or day-to-day basis. You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider staff to support pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour effectively using positive and trauma-informed approaches.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to feedback where required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Be adaptable, resilient, and confident working in different school environments.
• Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Be passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting every learner.

Experience in specialist settings or additional training in SEN (such as autism strategies or trauma-informed practice) is highly desirable but not essential.
