MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our industry leading manufacturing client in their search for a multiskilled maintenance technician.

The business is in the Middlesborough area and will be looking to appoint their chosen applicant ASAP.

The Job you will do:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production disruption
• Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used
• Follow health and safety regulations and always ensure a safe working environment
• Install, test, and commission new equipment or system upgrades
• Work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently
• Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or engineers to resolve complex issues
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components

About you:

• It is essential that you are a time served engineer, holding a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Ideally you will hold an 18th edition qualification, however this is not essential.
• You will have a robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• It is essential that you can perform basic PLC fault finding.
• Flexible to work over the weekend if needed.
• Ideally you will be from a high paced manufacturing background, but this not essential.
